Students will need their student card in addition to the U-Pass BC. Student cards are available at the library of each campus. Information on how to get a student card is as follows:
The Kwantlen Smart Card (Library card/Student I.D.)
- Serves as your student identification card
- Must be presented in order to borrow library materials and equipment
- Can be loaded with cash value for photocopying and printing
- Has no expiry sticker, the card is permanent and is updated online each semester
Smart cards are issued free of charge at the Checkout Counter of any campus library (Surrey, Richmond, Langley or Cloverdale) during all library open hours at any time of the semester.
The student card/library card can be issued during any time of the semester but only after the student information has been downloaded to the Library. Students registered for the upcoming semester are only downloaded to the Library one month before the next semester begins. Therefore for this semester new students will be downloaded on August 1st, 2011 so can come in for their cards any time after that.
Photo identification is required to get a Smart Card. Remember that your Smart Card is a permanent card.
