Property damage – Insurance Claim

Working closely with Director of Supply & Business Services and the Campus Facilities Managers will coordinate all Repairs and Claims for Property Damage as result of vandalism, accidents, fire, water damage and other causes.

  1. All losses must be reported as soon as possible to Universities and Colleges Protection Program, Risk Management using their Incident Report Form faxed to 250.356.0661 as well discussing Claim with their office at phone 250.953.4706 (Blair Loveday) to determine if an adjuster will be assigned to this Claim.
  2. Contact Supply & Business Services Office to obtain an Emergency Purchase Order Number to be issued for all Emergency Call-Out Service and Repair Service required.
  3. Supply &  Business Services Office will prepare a Requisition along with Purchase Order Number and wait for the Campus Manager to submit copy of Risk Management Incident Report, Copies of Estimates and Invoices from Repair Service Contractor, and all Correspondence from Risk Management or Adjustor.
  4. Supply & Business Services will ensure a Final Claim is submitted to Colleges Protection Program by either the Adjustor or by Supply & Business Services Office in order that Service and Repair costs are recovered less $3,000 deductible.
