Quotes & Budget Estimates

One of the key roles as established by Kwantlen Policy E.8 Purchasing is the requirement that all Quotes, Tenders, Proposals be coordinated by the Purchasing Office.

As defined by Canadian Law, there is no difference between a Quote, Tender or RFP (Request for Proposal), and these competitive bid documents, when sent to a Bidder become a legally binding contract. For this reason, any need to obtain Pricing Information by Quote needs to be coordinated by Purchasing. We can assist in providing your Department with Budget Estimates for most needs without necessarily going out to our Suppliers, by using various price lists, past tenders, or conducting a RFI (non-binding Request for Information). Please contact us if this need arising to help you budget and plan for any of your Supply, Equipment, or Contract Service needs.
