Funding Options

 

Canada Study Grant (CSG)

The Canada Study Grant is available for students with permanent disabilities who are attending post-secondary school and who are eligible to receive BCSAP, or HNPT part loans. The grant amount is up to $8,000 per year and can be used for equipment or services. Contact the Disability Advisor on any campus for a Canada Study Grant application.

Learning Disabilities Assessment Reimbursement

Students who complete a psycho-educational assessment by a registered psychologist and are diagnosed as having a learning disability may qualify for a 75% refund of the cost of the assessment: Contact a Learning Specialist for further information and for a Reimbursement of a Learning Disability Assessment application.

High Need Part-Time Study Grant (HNPT)

The HNPT Study Grant is for students with disabilities who are attending post-secondary education on a part-time basis (1-2 courses). It covers tuition and books up to $1200 a year. Contact the Disability Advisor for a HNPT application.

Canada Access Grant (CAG)

A grant of up to $2,000 to cover extraordinary expenses related to disability (e.g. medications). Must be enrolled in 2 courses. Must be BCSAP eligible. Contact the Disability Advisor for a Canada Access Grant application.

Assistive Technology (AT-BC)

AT-BC is a provincial service for students with disabilities attending post-secondary institutions. They provide loans of adaptive equipment necessary to complete regular courses and programs. Contact the Disability Advisor to discuss equipment loans requirements.
