Research Interests:
My research interests focus primarily on topics within the fields of development, natural resource management and environmental sustainability. For the past few years, I have been investigating the impacts of globalization and trade liberalization policies on the Indian economy and society. Recently, I had the opportunity to work on a research project funded by the Shastri Indo-Canadian Institute to examine the impacts of coastal aquaculture on the local communities along the East Coast of India. In addition, I have worked for five years with the Environmental Assessment Program for Asia-Pacific region of the United Nations Environment Program (EAP.AP/UNEP) in Thailand.
