- annual guide from Statistics Canada is useful for the getting the 'big picture' and spotting trends
- tables include links to the sources of the statistics if you want to investigate further
- provides excellent brief overviews of broad topics such as: - Economic & Financial Data (updated daily)
- Statistics by Subject
- browse through a vast collection of Statcan tables, analytical reports and more, arranged in broad (to narrower) categories
- uses similar categories as the Canada Year Book (above), but links you to many more sources
- also provides links to other key sources outside of Statistics Canada - CANSIM
- Most of Statistics Canada's tables are stored in its CANSIM collection. As of February 1, 2012, these are freely available to the public

- Economagic.com: Economic Time Series - Over 200,000 data files, with charts and Excel files for each, from the US government and other sources.
- OECD: Statistics Portal
- a very rich source of comparable economic and social data for member countries; much of info is freely available, but some is not
- OECD collects data, monitors trends, analyses issues and forecasts developments in many areas

- OECD Factbook - annual compilation of key figures; some Excel tables can be downloaded
- Interactive Charts and Graphs - several innovative, visual presentations of trends and data
