This is a very brief list of sources that may be useful for your assignment. It is intended only as a starting place. Every topic is unique. You will probably need to consult other sources as well. NAICS/SIC
North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) has replaced the U.S. Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) system. NAICS was developed jointly by the U.S., Canada, and Mexico to provide new comparability in statistics about business activity across North America.
- NAICS Code Search - look for the search box in upper left (US Census)
- SIC Code Search - from the US Dept. of Labor
- NAICS Association - allows you to find the corresponding SIC code from an NAICS code

- Community Profiles 2006 - limited census information by community based on the 2006 census
- Community Profiles 2001 - more detailed census information, including incomes
- Statistics Canada Provincial Summary Tables
- Canadian Census Analyzer Note: Most data will be from the 2001 Census. Figures from the 2006 Census are being released in clusters every 3 months. Check here to see the release schedule.
