Description Provides access to CANSIM (Canadian Socio-economic Information Management System) which is a collection of data collected over a period of time by Statistics Canada. Kwantlen's subscription to CANSIM is accessed through the CHASS Data Centre at the University of Toronto.

Please note: You can also access CANSIM through our E-STAT subscription. Although E-STAT is only updated once a year, it is much easier to use than the CHASS interface.

CANSIM contains numerous time series covering a wide variety of data on such topics as the System of National Accounts, Labour, Manufacturing, Construction, Trade, Agriculture, Finance, Demographics and Crime. Selected data on population estimates and vital statistics are also available. The CANSIM Table Directory lists over 2,700 tables. CHASS provides access to three forms of CANSIM. For a description of each, see What is CANSIM at CHASS?
