The hotel is located in close proximity to Kwantlen Polytechnic University's Richmond campus, the venue for the conference and to Vancouver International Airport. Summer in Vancouver (and how to dress for it)
Summer in Vancouver tends to be reliably warm and dry, though there is some occasional rain every now and then. The average temperature in August usually falls between 20 to 26 degrees Celsius, which is 68 to 78.8 degrees Fahrenheit. Clothes suitable for warm weather such as T-Shirts or light jackets should suffice for the Vancouver summer weather. It is probably a good idea, however, to also pack a few warmer clothes for cooler evenings just to be on the safe side.
