Purchasing and Procurement

IET supports the delivery of Purchasing and Procurement services to the University. Purchasing and Procurement is a sub-service of Financial Management and IET’s role in supporting this service is primarily in application, server, connectivity and disk storage pre-service. The Purchasing and Procurement services provides the functions for the Materials Management department to administrate purchase requisitions and purchase orders, and tracking the delivery and payment of purchased items. A database of information on assets (description, department, location, user) acquired through the purchasing and procurement process is maintained.

Eligibility

This service is available to Kwantlen Polytechnic University employees in the Materials Management and Financial Services departments.

07:30 – 20:00 weekdays excluding university holidays
Online support materials available 24 x 7

IET Regular Weekly Downtime Window. 

The downtime window is 5pm Saturday to 10am Sunday, the period of time during the week when usage of the Kwantlen systems and network resources are at the lowest.  IET will aim to schedule most minor system changes during the window thereby minimizing disruptions.  The window will be superceded if critical Kwantlen activities (e.g. web registration deadline) occur at the same time. IET will notify the Kwantlen community of all downtimes through the NoticeBoard.
