The First Recipient of the Georgia Milligan Scholarship for Excellence in English
With this award, Georgia's friends and colleagues honour her memory by supporting a student who has shown outstanding promise in the Bachelor of Arts - English Major degree program. We are proud to announce that Kylie Van Eaton is the first recipient of the Georgia Milligan Scholarship for Excellence in English. Kylie is in the final year of her Bachelor of Arts in English. After leaving Kwantlen she plans to attend graduate school or enter the PDP program at SFU. Upon completion of these additional degrees Kylie intends to become a teacher or counselor within the school setting. Kylie enjoys working with children and youth and wants to impact their lives positively. We are happy to support Kylie on her journey.
We need your help! The English Department would like to grow the scholarship to $1000, and we need to establish the $10,000 endowment required to maintain the scholarship. If you would like to help us honour Georgia by supporting outstanding students like Kylie, please use the form below or contact Development Officer Katie Kinch at katiekinch@kwantlen.ca
