About Our Regions
Encompassing many unique communities, Metro Vancouver is located on Canada's West Coast and is one of North America's most beautiful regions. Vancouver has recently been designated as the most livable city in the world.
The vibrant downtown core offers all of the amenities of an international destination – from hundreds of restaurants and clubs, countless parks and recreation facilities, to world-class entertainment and sporting events (including the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra and the Canucks, the city's National Hockey League team). Surrounding communities offer a variety of housing choices as well as diverse ethnic and cultural environments in which to live.
Metro Vancouver is surrounded by the North Shore and coastal mountains and sits on the edge of the Pacific Ocean, offering limitless opportunities for outdoor pursuits, such as hiking and mountain biking, and skiing at several venues, including the nearby Whistler-Blackcomb resort. The Kwantlen campuses are within easy access to Seattle and Victoria, as well as the Gulf Islands.
