She is a faculty member at the Wellness Centre which involves creating student learning opportunities to meet the health and wellness needs of the community. She holds a Bachelor degree from the University of Toronto and a Master’s of Science in Nursing from McGill University. Janine is currently working on her Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Policy at the University of British Columbia. Janine also teaches in the Bachelor of Science of Nursing program. She has taught in courses including Health Promotion and Community Development and Nurses Influencing Change.

My role with Kwantlen Polytechnic University has been varied and I have been teaching nursing courses in all semesters primarily with a focus on community development, change theory, project management, health promotion and prevention, Canadian Health Care System past and present, teaching and learning theory and application of related concepts. Since January 2009 I have been coordinating activities and projects in the Wellness Center involving Nursing students, faculty and the Kwantlen University Community. My intent is to be inclusive of all the programs within Community and Health Studies and the other faculties on all campuses. The main focus in the Wellness Center has been the Tobacco Free University Initiative with a focus on supporting students. My interests are golfing, curling, wilderness horseback riding , cycling, playing bridge, and traveling.
