Supported Employment - Course One

PNGN 1000: Supported Employment: Course One

This preparatory course of eighty (80) hours is intended for both experienced and new practitioners supporting adults with disabilities to engage in community employment options. The main themes in the course are: the basics of supported employment, individualized planning, making it work for candidates and employers, training and technology, employment supports and issues / resources. The curriculum was created with an advisory committee of several Community Living service providers: Richmond Society for Community Living, Langley Associate for Community Living, CHilliwack Associate for Community Living, North Shore Disability Resource Centre, Delta Community Living Society and Burnaby Association for Community Inclusion.
