High school students (grades 9 - 12) who wish to perform in the festival are encouraged to play two instrumental compositions: one classical and one from a style of their choice (classical, jazz, pop, rock, world music, etc.). Participants should provide fully notated scores (i.e., music) so that adjudicators can provide detailed feedback regarding your performance. A lead sheet for original compositions is acceptable.
If you wish to perform, you MUST register AND submit your performance selections by February 1st, 2012. Unfortunately, no late registrations for performers will be accepted.
Performance Program Information should include:
- Title(s)
- Composer(s)
- Dates of birth and death of composer(s)
- Total length of program
- Names of individual members if a small group (2-4 players) or name of ensemble
Please email performance program by February 1, 2013 to: don.hlus@kwantlen.ca
All student performances will be videotaped using a HD video recorder.
