Going on an international learning experience isn't as expensive as you think! With budgeting and by applying for awards and financial assistance, you can make it happen!

Budgeting

Individual spending preferences vary substantially so it is important for you to work out a budget suited to your goals and needs. When budgeting, you should consider the following costs:

Student Awards and Financial Assistance

Student Loans

Students participating in exchange and some other international learning opportunities are generally eligible to apply for student loans. For information on applying, please visit the Kwantlen Student Awards and Financial Assistance website. Students seeking additional funding can also inquire with any financial institution regarding loans and student lines of credit.

Award: EDC International Business Scholarships
Description: Scholarships for Canadian undergraduate business students.
Amount: $3000

Award: Foreign Government Award - Russia
Description: Scholarships for Canadian students going to Russia.

Award: British Universities Transantlantic Exchange Association (BUTEX) Award
Description: The Scholarship is open to all undergraduate students currently registered at an institution in the USA or Canada. To be eligible to apply you must have been offered a study abroad or exchange place during the 2011/2012 academic year at UK university or college which is BUTEX affiliated.
Amount: £500
