Before You Arrive
There is much to do before you actually arrive at Kwantlen. This portion of our website will guide you through the steps so that you can best prepare yourself for exchange. First, determine whether you are an exchange student, CONAHEC student or a visiting student then use the links in the menu bar to find out more about what you need to know.
Am I an Exchange, CONAHEC, or Visiting student?
Exchange, CONAHEC and visiting students follow very similar processes to come to Kwantlen. Please use the definitions below to identify which category you fit into.
Exchange Student
An exchange student is someone from one of Kwantlen’s partner institutions who has been nominated by their institution to come on exchange to Kwantlen.
Exchange students pay tuition and fees to their home institution and not to Kwantlen.
CONAHEC Student
A CONAHEC student is someone from a CONAHEC member institution who has been nominated by their home institution to come on exchange to Kwantlen.
CONAHEC students pay tuition and fees to their home institution and not to Kwantlen.
Visiting Student
A visiting student is someone who is not from one of Kwantlen’s partner institutions or a CONAHEC member institution and who wishes to spend one semester or a year at Kwantlen without earning a credential from Kwantlen.
Visiting students pay Kwantlen international student rates for tuition and fees.
If a student comes to Kwantlen as a visiting student, they cannot extend their stay at Kwantlen in order to earn a credential.
If you are an international student who wishes to study at Kwantlen to earn a credential such as diploma or degree, please visit our Future Students website.
