Careers in Interior Design
Career Potential for Graduates
Graduates have the potential to be employed in a variety of design areas, including commercial/corporate/office, residential, healthcare, retail, hospitality, institutional, and architectural firms where they may gain experience as designers toward registration as professionals. Employment is also available in wholesale resource firms, with manufacturer”s agents, or in other design-related fields. With suitable experience, graduates may eventually become independent practitioners and/or develop their own firms. See the Careers in Interior Design website for more information.
In some cases, graduates have found employment outside of the typical design career path that utilizes thought processes and knowledge from their design education.
Additionally some of our graduates have been successful in seeking work internationally.
