Peter Thesiger
Peter Thesiger MBA (SFU), ISPPeter Thesiger has been an instructor at Kwantlen since 1992. He is currently the Chair of the BBA in Entrepreneurial Leadership program and teaches in the CBSY and ENTR departments.
His industry background includes many years as a programmer and analyst in Montreal followed by time with IBM and Boeing Computer Services in Vancouver as a technical analyst and consultant. In 1978 he took over and managed a computer services company which he turned around and made profitable in two years. During that time he was involved in the marketing and delivery of systems, the analysis and development of systems as well as the overall management of the company. In 1988, Peter took over as VP Operations for a company that was an IBM business partner selling systems into the forestry sector. He then set up his own consulting practice which he ran full time until he started teaching in 1992.
At Kwantlen, Peter has been significantly involved in a variety of projects outside of teaching. Together with one other individual he developed the full program proposal for the Bachelor of Technology degree and more recently he has been the team leader on the successful Accreditation project for the School of Business.
In his spare time Peter is a member of the International Lion’s Club, and with his wife likes to ski, kayak and ballroom dance. He would also like to spend a lot more time sailing.
