Student Awards and Financial Assistance

A post secondary education is one of the most important investments anyone can make and you should consider this an investment in your future, not the cost of your education. "According to the 2001 Canada Census, a university graduate with a bachelor's degree will make well over $1 million more in their lifetime compared to a high school graduate." At Kwantlen Polytechnic University, we understand that you may have concerns about the investment costs associated with attaining your post-secondary education. That’s why we've devoted significant time and resources to helping you plan for and finance this investment in your future.

Due to upgrades in the application process, please be advised that access to the online Scholarships, Bursary and Awards application, will not be available until Tuesday, September 7, 2010.

Irving K. Barber - Transfer Scholarships

Thanks to a generous donation by Dr. Ike Barber, up to 85 Transfer Scholarships are available for students completing two years of college and transferring to university this year.

Applications for the Ike Barber Transfer Scholarship program are now being accepted. The complete application form with instructions is available at www.bcscholarship.ca/web/transfer/apply. The deadline for applications is September 30, 2010.

Awards will be distributed in November, following the full adjudication process.

Applications must be submitted by the student directly to the Irving K. Barber BC Scholarship Society, c/o Victoria Foundation, at the address on the application form. For more information, please visit www.bcscholarship.ca.
