Head Coach: Gordon Smith, BHK, B.Ed, M.Ed (Coaching Studies)

Gordon Smith has been involved in the game for over 30 years as a player and coach. He has had success at the high school, academy and club, and USL Y-League programs, leading teams to top 3 finishes in both provincial and national competitions. As a player, Smith has competed at the CIS level for UBC. He holds a CSA National “B” License, and is a certified Level 4 NCCP High Performance Coach. Gordon recently completed a Master’s Degree in Coaching Studies from the University of Victoria.

Assistant Coach: Joan McEachern

Joan McEachern is a former Canadian National team member and has been capped 33 times internationally. She has been the assistant coach of the women’s team since 2003 and is also a faculty member in the Economics Department at Kwantlen Polytechnic University.

Assistant Coach: Gene Gallant
|
Gene Gallant has an extensive soccer resume. His experience ranges from coaching with the Provincial Team, Whitecaps Prospects and Academy Program as well as time served as a coach and General Manager of several USL-Y League teams. Along with coaching the Eagles’ team, Coach Gallant currently works with the Mountain United Football Club and teaches elementary school in Vancouver. |
