Head Coach, Men’s Soccer

The Department of Athletics and Recreation at Kwantlen Polytechnic University invites qualified candidates to apply for the position of Head Coach of the Kwantlen Eagles intercollegiate men’s soccer program.

Reporting to the Director of Athletics and Recreation, this part-time contract position is responsible for providing coaching leadership, recruitment and development of student-athletes in a competitive program that encourages sportsmanship, integrity, teamwork and scholarship.

Qualifications

NCCP Level 3 Coaching Certification (or Provincial B License)
Minimum 5 years head coach experience (post- secondary or senior club level)
Class 4 British Columbia Driver’s Licence

Position Requirements

Strong communication, leadership, organizational and technical skills
Able to demonstrate a high caliber of leadership and sportsmanship
Encourage and support student-athlete academic success
Flexible schedule that allows for afternoon/evening practices and weekend travel
Ability to organize, develop and implement a nationally competitive program
Lead and participate in team fundraising and department activities
Ability to work in a team environment and within the guidelines and policies of Kwantlen Polytechnic University, the Athletics department, the BCCAA and CCAA

Student Assistants

Do you have experience playing team or individual sports? We are looking for sports minded students to join our team. Students work part time a couple hours each week (hourly pay) and assist the Athletics and Recreation Department with setting up and running recreation activities, helping with events, and Gymnasium and Fitness Centre Supervision.
