Head Coach, Women’s Soccer
COACHING POSITION AVAILABLE
The Department of Athletics and Recreation at Kwantlen Polytechnic University invites qualified candidates to apply for the contract position of Head Coach of the Kwantlen Eagles intercollegiate women’s soccer program. The position will commence immediately with the possibility of contract renewal at completion.Reporting to the Director of Athletics and Recreation, this part-time contract position is responsible for the leadership, recruitment and development of a nationally competitive intercollegiate women’s soccer program.
The Eagles women’s soccer team is a back-to-back provincial championship (2009, 2010) and CCAA National Bronze Medallist (2009) team, competing in the Pacific Western Athletic Association (PACWEST) and Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA).
Our ideal candidate must be willing to be part of a dynamic team of leaders and educators and must be committed to four main outcomes:
1. Foster a winning culture for the women’s soccer program; one that produces championship contending teams and supports the graduation of student-athletes;
2. Increase the connection and involvement of alumni players and members of the community with the women’s soccer program;
3. Provide an outstanding student experience and;
4. Participate in a collegial working environment that promotes meaningful connections between student-athletes, staff and coaches in order to accomplish goals, promote personal growth and have fun.

Group Fitness Instructor
Kwantlen Recreation is currently looking for fun, upbeat group fitness instructors to teach group fitness classes at our Surrey and Langley campuses. If you are an enthusiastic, high energy individual that has a desire to help others then we are looking for you!
Preferred qualifications:
- Current or working towards a recognized certification (BCRPA, CSEP)
- Experience in a variety of disciplines would be an asset
- Kwantlen Student or Alumni an asset

Student Assistants
Do you have experience playing team or individual sports? Want to be involved with you university’s varsity programs? Apply for a part-time student-assistant position in the Athletics and Recreation Department!
We are currently accepting application for Kwantlen students to work part-time at the Athletics and Recreation front desk. Responsibilities include: supervision and maintenance of the Fitness Centre and Gymnasium, setting up sports equipment, Membership and Recreation Program services.
Student Assistants work weekday evenings from 3:30-7:15 PM, some daytime and weekend shifts available. We are looking for people who are sports and fitness minded who are outgoing, and who enjoy working with people. Previous experience in fitness or sports teams is preferable but not a requirement. Student assistants are paid hourly on a bi-weekly basis.

Mascot Performer - Kwantlen Polytechnic University
The Department of Athletics and Recreation at Kwantlen Polytechnic University is searching for an enthusiastic, organized, outgoing and motivated individual to provide quality fun and entertainment as the varsity mascot. This is a part-time, seasonal position. The successful candidate will work along-side the Athletic Facilities and Event Supervisor to assist in the implementation of various mascot appearances on Kwantlen campuses.
- Some acting experience or acting education or background in performing, such as a mascot, acrobat, gymnast, or dancer.
- Ability to express common social expressions and client needs or wants relating to the mascot.
- A good work ethic, problem solving abilities and the ability to motivate others.
- Previous work experience dealing with the public.
- Strong interpersonal skills and an understanding of public relations goals and practice is an asset
