What do I need to become a Middle School Teacher?
Middle school teachers teach children from grade six to grade nine. To become a middle school teacher in BC, you will need a combination of academic study and professional teacher training. A Certificate of Qualification issued by the BC College of Teachers is required for all teachers who want to teach in the public school system in BC.
Normally, a four-year bachelor's degree is recommended for admission to a teacher training program.
