Work Exploration

What is Work Exploration?
This program combines job-oriented classroom instruction with a work experience component. Work Exploration focuses on pre-employment and community access skills.
How long is the program?
It is a 10 month full-time program with the possibility of extension if the student has nearly completed graduation requirements. There are various intake dates during the year.
How much does it cost?
Students pay an application fee to Kwantlen, plus a moderate tuition fee. In some cases, various government ministries may pay a portion of these costs.
Where is it offered?
Work Exploration programs are offered on the Langley, Richmond and Surrey campuses.
What are the program entrance requirements?
- Adults (18 and older) with a defined disability may apply
- Assessment prior to entry to determine appropriate program options and eligibility
- Complete Access Programs for People with Disabilities application package
- Participate in intake interviews
- Participate independently in both class and work experience settings
- Be independent in their transportation
